I appear nervous and shy when first meeting me. I preferred to keep to myself.

However, as time goes on and I become more comfortable in my surroundings, my demeanor changes. I start to speak up more and engage in conversations with others. My once-timid demeanor will be replaced with a sense of confidence and outgoingness that surprised those who knew me and even myself.
To others I seem to thrive in social situations, enjoying the company of others and expressing myself freely. I had to come out of my shell and was no longer afraid to take risks and try new things. (Sorta)

Overall, my timidness is simply a result of my initial discomfort in new situations. Once I am able to relax and feel at ease, I blossom into an outgoing and confident individual.
